Dosage Aids
Getting the most benefit from your medicine involves taking the right dose at the right time, as prescribed by your doctor. We understand that medication regimes can be complex and time consuming.
Our pharmacists can assist you with organising your medications into a Dose Administration Aid (DAA). A Dose Administration Aid is a securely sealed device which allows for an individual dose of your medicine to be taken as prescribed by your doctor. A DAA is tamper-evident, portable, simple and easy to use.
You may benefit from a DAA if you are:
- A School age child
- A Traveller
- A Health enthusiast
- A Hospital discharge patient
- Living away from home
- Living in a special accommodation home
- Being cared for
- Receiving other care or support services
There is no limit on the minimum or maximum number of medicines you need to be taking to benefit from a DAA. We can organise both prescription medicines and vitamins into a DAA. We also work closely with your doctor to ensure you are getting the most out of your medicines. We liaise with your doctor regarding your current medication list and to inform your doctor of any prescriptions you may require.
We also provide DAA services for people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres-Strait Islander.
Speak to our pharmacist about whether a DAA is suitable for you.
